LUDF, lIMITED USE DIGITAL FILES ARE AVAILABLE FOR MY PORTFOLIOS
As a fine-art photographer working exclusively with digital media, I have decided to market my work with a new digital methodology. This is the concept of selling LUDF files instead of prints. The LUDF file is a "Limited Use Digital File" that can be used by a customer to produce prints of their own size and media. The limitation is that the customer is not permitted to alter either the subject matter or basic design elements contained in the LUDF file as this is immutable and protected by copyright principles. LUDF Digital Files are submitted in TIFF or JPEG formats.

THE NEW LUDF CONCEPT FOR FINE ART PHOTOGRPAHIC SALES
- The LUDF file is a limited use digital file that is a full resolution TIFF or JPEG copy of my fine-art digital compositions that allows a customer to make full resolution prints from large scale three-foot to four-foot alumium prints, medium size Gyclee prints or for email and WEB purposes. There is no limitation for the use of a LUDF file for resale or personal use by the customer. However, no alterations of the image per content or design elements are permitted as these are immutable or unchangeable copyright protected principles.

These are full resolution Tiff and JPEG LUDF files suitable for the production of up to three-foot by four-foot aluminum prints or other strata per the needs of the customer.
Definition and use of a LUDF Digital File - A Limited Use Digital File (LUDF) is a copy of the original TIFF or JPEG file of a digital photographic composition that I have produced. The LUDF file is to be used by a customer to produce prints, email messages, web-based presentations, print and book publications and for any other personal or corporate purpose. Changes to the LUDF file by a customer are permitted for adjustments of scale, resolution, brightness, and contrast as might be needed to adjust the customer’s prints. However, no alterations of a LUDF file per subject matter and compositional elements are permitted by a customer as these are immutable or un-changeable and are protected by copyright by the artist.
Products that are produced with a LUDF file by a customer can be sold to secondary customers, but the LUDF file itself cannot be re-sold to a second party as it is a copy of the copyrighted file retained by me. After receiving a paid order, I will then send to the customer the full size LUDF file via the WE Transfer program or with a thumb drive via USPS priority mail.

As a digital fine art photographer, I no longer produce prints. Limited Use Digital Files in Tiff or JPEG formats are for customers who prefer to produce their own size and strata prints.
For Museums, Colleges and Universities and innovative art galleries the charges are for the costs of the extermal digital drives and packaging and mailing costs. For other customers who want to use the LUDF files for producing prints for resale prices for the LUDF files will have to be negotiated.

- These are medium resolution black and white Tiff and JPEG LUDF files suitable for the production of up 24 inch usually as ink-jet Gyiclee prints on water color paper.

For other customers who want to use the LUDF files for producing prints for resale prices from the LUDF files, prices will have to be negotiated.
